Thursday, June 27th is our school-wide PLAY DAY and EARLY DISMISSAL! As we will be outside, students should dress for the weather, bring a water bottle, and come with sunscreen already applied (teachers cannot help with this task). We will be celebrating Play Day by having Freezies! If you do not want your child to have a school-provided Freezie on this day, please email me as soon as possible and send an alternative treat to school for your child to enjoy. We will be finished school this day at 1:05 p.m. as it is an early dismissal day!

Our theme for Play Day this year is... Dress like a SUPERHERO! 

We learned how to count money! We figured out different ways to count change in coins using our skip counting knowledge.

We designed our own Number Blocks! We added different personalities to them.

We had fun exploring with Dash Robots on Imagination Day!

We've been working on Memory Books of Grade One!

To celebrate National Indigenous Peoples' Day, we learned how to create symmetrical art. We worked SO hard on this artwork!

We went outside for gym and played Indigenous games! Ask me what different games we played. 

We made our own versions of an Indigenous game called the Pole and Stick game. Our buddies helped us with all the tricky parts!

We learned the story of the Chickadee and the Owl by Indigenous Knowledge Keeper Chantal Chagnon.

Upcoming Important Events

June 26 – Report cards available ONLINE to families through their MyCBE Parent PowerSchool Account. (No paper copies are sent home.)

June 26 – SPIRIT DAY: PJ Day

June 26 – Last day for Kindergarten

June 26 – All student materials coming home.

June 27 – Play Day activities for Grades 1-5 (Students should come to school dressed for changing weather, as well as with a water bottle and a hat.)

June 27 – Lost & Found being bagged up to be donated

June 27 – Early Dismissal at 1:05 for students in Grades 1-5. (Last day before Summer Break)

June 28 – ALL Lost & Found items being donated to Women in Need today

July 25 – LAST DAY FOR REPORT CARDS TO BE VIEWED/DOWNLOADED ONLINE THROUGH THE PARENT MyCBE ACCOUNT
