June 10-14, 2024

Our learning in English Language Arts:

•  We learned about how to segment (take apart) two-syllable words to read it fully
• We learned about "The Important Book" and talked about what important means. We wrote about something important to us and the reasons why! After, we practiced giving our classmates feedback saying something we liked and something we could add to our work

Our learning in Math:

• We learned about fact families and inverse equations this week. This is when we use both addition and subtraction to think about numbers. For example, we could think of 4 + 3 = 7 and 3 + 4 = 7, or 7 - 4 = 3 and 7 - 3 = 4
• We practiced our subtraction with different games

We finished Charlotte's Web and created our favourite characters out of clay! Ask me what character I made!

Upcoming Important Dates:

June 16 – Last day for registering for the Yellow School Bus service for the 2024-25 school year.

June 19 – Imagination Day: Students will be engaging in activities to help build their imagination. They may dress up as anything they want on this day.

June 21 – Volunteer Tea for our volunteers. Please RSVP if attending.
